~*~Bali~*~
(Oct 23, 2008 - Oct 28, 2008)

First night at Novotel @ Tanjung Benoa

Second night onwards at Grand Hyatt, Nusa Dua
Very grand indeed. Grand Hyatt has a total of more than 600 hotel rooms and 6 huge swimming pools from Balinese style pool to modern-riverlike pool.

Hotel at beachfront

Lonely planet recommended this place. I say, "don't bother trying"

Looks may be deceptive

Pretentious I was.

Strong culture of Hinduism

..where Discovery Mall is

This place is so commercialised and overrated

Grand Hyatt Grand Hyatt!!!

Balinese spa at Kriya, Grand Hyatt

Had the Moksha - Harmony spa which cost me USD190 after tax

Everywhere is not walking distance in Grand Hyatt, at least not for me. I walk so much in Spore I had to get a buggy to get me to places within the resort.

Getting ready for some rejuvenating spa treats

..where I had my Balinese massage

After the scrub, I soaked myself in this sea salt island spice

Honey lemon herbal tea was served

I wished the weather was slightly chilly. Imagine soaking in a very warm bubble bath in the humid weather(38 degree Celcius), and drinking hot tea.....*sweats*

Lastly, relax and sip some beetroot juice

Ubud town where the rice terrace is

Enchanted Fantasy resort overlooking the rice terrace

Lurve the infinity pool

Diving trip at Lembongan. Underwater pics will be up later.

Grand Hyatt Lobby

Oh......when can I get my next hollie....

Last weekend was the Formula One season. The little Singapore was flooded with die-hard fans from all over the world. Celebrities like socialite Paris Hilton, footballer David Beckham and Oscars Leonard DiCaprio were rumored to have made appearance in the first ever night race.

I am not an avid fan of F1, but I was lucky to have gained admission to the race. *thanks to my boss, Pauline* My first time witnessing this great sporting festival. Nothing interesting, really.

But scenery was very interesting

Esplanade Grand Premier is where my seat was

I was very close to the track and it killed me coz I didn't have ear plugs

Like this great sporting event, you should not come back empty handed without goodies
...so here it is

spent S$70 on this Ferrari cap

Howdy y'all?!

It's been AGES...I know. If I say I've been toOoo busy, I must be kiddin' . Fact is, I just wanted to place the blog on hiatus.

Work has really taken a lot from me. BUT, I am back on active, just for vanity purposes.

On VESAK DAY 31st May, 2008....

Many Buddhists celebrated Buddha's Birthday by "bathing" the Buddha and participating in charity. Ling San Meditation Temple was no exception. My mom organized the entire event for devotees to make offerings and a baby Buddha statue is placed in front of the altar so that devotees can pour water over the statue that is decorated with flowers; 'it is symbolic of the events following the Buddha's birth, when devas and spirits made heavenly offerings to him'.

Below are pictures taken in Ling San Meditation Temple in BM.

Baby Buddha statue - for devotees to "bathe" the Buddha

On another occassion, Hans gave me a small bouquet of roses, although I don't particularly love funny colored roses like blue/black/purple and etc, it's the thought that counts, really.
It's very uplifting to receive flowers after a long day from work. So, any flowers will do. EXCEPT chrysanthemum or any other flowers for offerings. ;)

It's time of the month again. No...not what you're thinking. It's the GREAT SINGAPORE SALE!
Got so excited yesterday, I went to Orchard Rd for some retail therapy. I've always loved BEBE but the price is just a tad too pricey on regular days. So, tried on some dresses.
One thing I hate about sale season is, those with 50 - 70% discount are either ugly or defected or out of size. *sigh*

Fell in love with this but the seams on the sides of the dress is completely torn!
And this is the last piece :(

This is not too bad but it's not very comfortable. By the time I wanted to hop to another mall, it was already 9:30pm. Everywhere's closed. So, I went home empty handed.
